‘The artist who paints the emotions creates an enclosed world... the picture...which, like a book, has the same interest no matter where it happens to be.’ (Pierre Bonnard)

Selection of our Exhibitions...

Art is the universal language of the world that speaks to all people by evoking ideas, thoughts and emotions in abundance...

We intend to raise awareness of the high quality, varied, community driven arts projects in the borough of Tower Hamlets.

Through this awareness we intend to build bridges across our community fully embracing diversity and generating inclusivity regardless of age, race, wealth, gender, sexual orientation, religion or disability.

Bethnal Green is too often associated with social deprivation, poverty and purported division across our community.  We do not consider that this is an adequate reflection of the outstanding level of art we have here and we want to change this misguided conception.

These stylish scarves by Ashima Kumar

are pieces of art in themselves. They feature

her hand illustrated artworks on a digitally

drawn background. When you wear them,

each fold gives you a different colour

perspective to enhance your outfit.

Made in 100% pure silk, they are a beautiful

piece of wearable art.

Maybe it is naive to say art is the universal language, and that we can open windows for all to see that we are one community.  Yet, if art can’t, nothing can.      John M. Eger
